• This has been a very good read and you are exceptionally a good writer. Thank you. I have been unable to get some of your other messages.

  • Well, we are supposed to check the preacher’s message against the Word…but I got a bit of conviction about “wanting to leave church too quick”….

  • Your description of the perfect pastor was very comical. It is so true that we mustn’t malign the messenger. We need to pray for our pastors and their families. They have an important assignment from God.

  • My pastor actually read that “perfect preacher” statement in church one Sunday haha I loved it! Our poor church leaders are certainly scrutinized and criticized much too often and I think it is because so often we forget that they are human. I often listen to my pastor on Sunday and think he must hold all the knowledge of the world lol, but I know deep down that I cannot put that much pressure on him to answer any question I have. Very good post and reminder to us all that our church leaders are just the same as you and me, they are led by God in a different way than we are, but are essentially just as human.

  • Yes! There is no perfect pastor or church. I feel like Christians can waste so much time by being concerned about what the church is giving back to them. We are to give to the church. We need to stop wasting our time and start serving!

  • One of my favorite congregations never kept track of the time during worship. It was wonderful to see the spirit at work honoring God instead of tying up His hands to meet our schedule.
